Sensational Soup Off

October 14, 2024

Thanksgiving Day each year, The Wellington County Museum and Archives hosts up to 18 soup makers in three categories.

These professional, amateur and youth participants compete to become the “Super Souper” of the year in their category. (Apply to compete here)

For 2024, in the spirit of The Olympics, we are suggesting that soup-makers from various countries or backgrounds bring soups representing their preferred “national soup”.  Compete to win the “Soup Olympics” prize.

Come out, warm your tummy, sit back with your soup and a glass of beer or wine, vote for your favourite soups and enjoy some wonderful music throughout the afternoon.

We are also very grateful to local potters for donating bowls each year as part of our Empty Bowls program. You can purchase one of these beautiful, one-of-a-kind bowls and have it refilled with soup up to 18 times.

Join us to vote for your favourite soup, listen to music and help us combat hunger. Is there a better way to spend Thanksgiving? – We think not.

Meet our 2024 Super Soupers:

Sloane Christopher – Loaded Baked Potato
Thomas Lalande – Harvest Vegetable
Paige Christopher – Thai Chicken

Sensational Elora thanks our generous sponsors:
