A Preview Of Our Autumn Events

Our year so far!

Our Sensational Jazz night at Elora Legion and our Fabulous Fergus Pub Night were both very successful. Thank you to everyone who participated and thank you to our sponsors. CW Food Bank and “CW Eats” breakfast/lunch program at CWDHS will both benefit from these events.

Coming Up – October 2023!

Pumpkin Day – October 7, 2023

Pumpkin Day will feature our professional pumpkin carver plus dozens of pumpkins for family carving. Bring your creative spirit and compete for best carved pumpkin.

This year we are adding an African drum circle under a big tent with lots of drums available for everyone to try as well as Indigenous Hoop Dancers. We will also have face painting, highland dancers, music for the family, along with a reptile show and pumpkin ice-cream from Mapleton Organics.

Empty Bowls & Sensational Soup-Off – October 9, 2023

Come out and enjoy soups provided by 18 soup-makers; amateur, youth and professional, as they compete for the title of Super Souper of the year in their category. We look forward to promoting inclusion and the sharing of cultures through food. We’re hoping to see soupers and soup recipes that represent as much multi-cultural cuisine as possible.

We will have a huge selection of bowls available again this year as part of our Empty Bowls project and we will be treated to the music of Madison Galloway and Jiggity James throughout the afternoon.

Monster March – October 21, 2023

Last year, we had an estimated crowd of 1,000 marchers in the Monster March non-motorized parade. We offered prizes for the best decorated “Wicked Wagon” and followed a new parade route to Bissell Park where treats and hot chocolate were served. Everything remains the same this year.

Start designing costumes now for the whole family (including pets) and join us for this highlight event of Monster Month.

Mark your calendars now and check sensationalelora.com for updates on each of these events.
