An intimate evening with D’eve Archer
and an all-star backup band!
Classically trained, multi-instrumentalist, composer and singer, D’eve Archer will perform an evening of diverse musical styles; Jazz, Blues, Soul are all included in her diverse program as she fuses multiple genres together to make harmonious sounds that will leave you wanting more. The evening will present some new, soon to be released, music written by Al Ralston. D’eve will be backed by an all-star band including:
Randall Coryell – Drums With a drumming background including Tom Cochrane & Red Rider, Mel Brown & The Homewreckers, The All-Star Band with members Barney Bentall and Randy Bachman and the Marigolds, Randall’s adaptability provides the perfect style to backup D’eve’s range of genres.
Bill Evans – Piano Bill’s keyboards have been featured on many Grammy award nominated and winning albums by artists such as:
Peter Noone – Herman’s Hermits, Del Shannon, Melissa McCarthy,
Ron Korb, Jim McCarty – The Yardbirds, and he is just returning from backing Bruce Springsteen in New Jersey.
Paul Intson – Bass Composer/musician/arranger/ producer/explorer in the adventure of music creation, Paul has composed scores for movies and TV shows and is in constant demand as a musician.
Alan Ralston – Trumpet/Flugelhorn Composer and arranger, Al has played with a diverse group of musicians over the years: Lighthouse, Jeff Healey, Peter Appleyard, Aura Rully, Rob McConnell, Toronto Harbour, Heather Bambrick , Sands of Time, Vic Vogel, George Oliver, Maynard Ferguson, Stan Kenton, Stratford Festival.
Dave Wiffen – Saxophone/Flute In addition to being on faculty at WLU’s music school, he has toured with the Tommy Dorsey Big Band, and the Peter Appleyard Orchestra, also sharing the stage with Aretha Franklin and Nathalie Cole at various times. David can play any style – jazz, rock, blues, and classical music and his muscular, soulful sound makes him the “go to” tenor man in the region.
